A Western Dining Experience

The Shanghai government is making great efforts to teach people how to interact and make friends with foreigners ahead of the 2010 World Expo. As Three on the Bund is an institution that celebrates cultural diversity and welcomes all kinds of people from all over the world, we saw an opportunity to contribute to their efforts.

Three On The Bund was delighted to invite to its world famous Jean Georges French Restaurant twenty-five outstanding students from 13 different Huangpu district high schools. The objective of their visit was to experience firsthand the richness of western cuisine, as well as to learn the basics of western dining etiquette.

Our Managing Director Alan Hepburn was excited to meet these students who will be the future pillars of society. Jean Georges' General Manager gave the students an enlightening and brilliant presentation on western culture and dining conventions, accompanied by a food and wine tasting session.

We believe the students left the event with a new appreciation for the culinary arts, as well as some practical insights that they will find useful in the future.
